Roadshow Polska in cooperation with the Polish Confederation
of Private Employers Lewiatan and with the support of AIP, ICEP,
API and CIP have the pleasure to invite you to 'NEW EUROPE INVESTMENT
ROADMAP - POLAND TO PORTUGAL' - a summit will take
place On May 25th, 2007 in Cascais, Hotel Miragem, Portugal.
Following the success of the previous Roadshow
event in Portugal, which took place in 2005 we have received
a number of requests from many companies that attended to organize
a repeat conference. The feedback that we have received was
very positive and we were pleased to hear that many of them
had experienced spin-offs in one form or the other.
We are convinced that 2007 specifically due to the upcoming
Portuguese EU Presidency is a prime time to organize a follow
up forum. We believe that due to this important milestone this
is an ideal time to organize a somewhat larger event encompassing
not only Portugal and Poland's business relations but also to
address issues on a more global basis.
The aim of the summit is as follows:
- to offer a unique opportunity for business, government and
the media to shape the business and economic agenda in the
forthcoming period of the Portuguese EU Presidency
- to provide a powerful stage to engage together, exchange
views and ideas, plan business expansion and tighten business,
economic and cultural relationships
- to introduce Poland - the heart of the CEE region- as one
of the most important destinations for business expansion
for the more mature EU state members
- to highlight the opportunities how to bridge the two ends
of EU
- to boost deeper involvement in the Polish - Portuguese bilateral
relations, to show the changes within the last two years and
new opportunities for business development
The event is addressed mainly to the officials,
business and media of Potugal and Poland, but also, through
the various Chambers of Commerce, the business from other EU
countries.
The main features will include panel discussions and
roundtables with key figures from the Portuguese and Polish
Government, EU representatives and the business community, covering
crucial issues and challenges that confront investors.
In particular, the focus will be on the following areas:
- An insight to what the Portuguese EU Presidency has to offer
to the European business
- What are the main obstacles for business in the EU - that
should be addressed to the Portuguese EU Presidency
- How to bridge the gap from Poland to Portugal - the two
extreme points of Europe
- The need to expand EU business into CEE - Poland, the heart
of the region is open for Europe
- The untapped potential of the CEE business in the EU

- The success of Portuguese Business in Poland
